I had been taking our 14 year old dog Otis to another vet in the area over some respitory issues for years. He continued to decline in health, until a friend suggested I take him to Dr. Marker. The doc informed me my dog had and enlarged heart and had congested heart failure. He had just read about some new heart medication and had it shipped overnite. We tried to get the medicine into Otis but was too late. He passed away at home. I took all of the medications back to the clinic to donate to someone who may need it or could not afford to buy (it was very expensive) and they gave me all my money back! Who does that? No doctor I have ever been too. He has always been kind to all my animals and my bill is never outrageous. I have recommended many people to Dr Marker, because of his kind, big heart oh and the fact he is a WSU Cougar makes him the perfect doc for our pets. Thank you

Hi  I was in the clinic last week with my old, matted and very sick barn kitty. She was the soft gray calico and weighed in at about 5#. She was given clavamox, appetite stimulant and vitamins as well as a sub-Q fluid injection and I brought her home. we all figured she was not long for this world. It is now Tuesday morning and she has rallied. Yesterday she began eating on her own. I had been force feeing and watering her with a syringe. Giving her pureed Fancy Feast and etc. Got her vitamins and unflavored pedialyte and alot of prayers.
She is amazing for her age. She still has her respiratory issue but not as bad. She began really eating on her own yesterday and I add plenty of liquid to the food so she laps that up. So she is not going to die today at any rate. I thought you might like an update on her condition. Sending her picture sitting in the sun in the living room. Thank you so much.

Our family really wanted to thank you for the beautiful forget-me-not frame and the wonderful card.  We were very much touched by the sentiment and it's really nice to have a piece of Oscar with us.  Thank you so much for the amazing effort your office gave in the attempt to save his life.  I don't know if "Compassionate Care for your Best Friend" is your mission statement but we feel you have gone above and beyond the mere definition of compassion.  In a way, each animal that walks through your doors belongs to you and you treat them as if they were your own.  Your care doesn't stop there though; the people matter too.  I am so glad that we found Jackson Hwy Vet Clinic and that you were there for all of us when we needed you.  Sincerely,

I recently had reason to visit the Jackson Highway Vet Clinic and I have to say that I found "everyone" that works in this clinic to be very caring and compassionate. I had to have my Mintature Schnauzer, Denie, who was 18 years old put to sleep. Denie was just like one of my children and the decision to have her put down was one of the hardest of my life. I called the office to inquire about the process and the receptionist that I talked to was very helpful and caring.

When I brought her into the office, everyone, from the receptionist to the vet was very helpful and supportive of me. I could tell that the vet who took care of Denie loved animals by how gentle and loving she was with Denie. After giving Denie a kiss and love the vet took her to the back room and told me to please feel free to stay in the room as long as I needed to get myself back together again.

A couple of weeks later I received a package in the mail from this vet office. Inside was a 5 x 7 picture of a mintature schnauzer with a poem interposed over it and a lock of Denie's hair attached with a ribbon. This was one of the nicest and most caring acts of kindness I have ever felt from a vets office.

I will highly recommend this office to all of my family and friends and anyone else who asks me about a vet.

Dear Dr. Marker, Donna and Staff: Although I cried yet again, I wanted to say "thank you" for all your kindness. The memory photo with some of Molly's fur is beautiful. You and your staff have been so wonderful through this and it has sure helped. A lot of our non-animal "friends" don't understand this loss. She cannot be "replaced" of course but have contacted a "reputable" Golden breeder in southern Washington for another puppy with the best "good gene pools" we could find for Goldens. We hope to bring this "new little girl" to you in a few weeks for her check up and shots and her lifelong care. Again. our heartfelt thanks!

Just wanted to give a big thanks to all of you at JHVC for letting us pester you as often as we have. LOL! We really appreciate the attention you have given to our puppies and Sonny! Sonny says thanks for the all the treats!! We care about the small things that a vet does and you do many. So thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon. I'm sure one of the dogs will get into "trouble".

My name is little Diddle,
And I can finally piddle.

I want to thank you Doc,
For removing that rock.

It got stuck in me so tight,
But I gave a mighty fight.

Now I'm feeling better,
Tho' the floors are getting wetter.

So just to reiterate,
I am feeling GREAT!

You won't find a better vet as well as staff. We have a Rott with multiple medical issues and Dr. Marker has been awesome with his care. He and his staff have given us years we never thought we would have with Max. When his time comes I know we will get compassionate care with the most difficult decision a pet owner has to make. We have already lost a lab to cancer and Dr. Marker's compassion and caring got us through the difficult times. They are more than a vet clinic to us - they are family!!

I've been taking my dog here for a year now, and the staff is always friendly to both me and my dog. When I stop in to buy flea control, they always ask how she is doing. The doctors are always friendly and take the time to say hi to my dog before starting in on business. They never push tests or prescriptions without explaining why first, and even then, cheaper alternatives are suggested. We're always seen on time, and are never forced to wait. Prices are fair. The exam rooms are always clean, and the front lobby is so inviting!

I've been using Jackson Hwy Vet Clinic for 6 years, and I've always had good experiences with this clinic.  Over a period of time, some of my cats have had serious medical problems, and Dr. Marker and the other doctor I think her name is Dr. Burns (great Vet)  have always taken great care of them.  When my one cat needed subcutaneous fluids, Dr. Marker patiently taught me how to administer them.  That  was no easy task.  My animals are  always relaxed and happy when I come to visit the clinic.   He reviews treatment options with me and helps me make the best decisions for my two very spoiled cats  In fact, Dr. .Marker’s excellent explanations of my cats' various medical conditions, diagnostic procedures, and treatment options has helped me as well as some of my friends and family when dealing with some of the same conditions in ourselves.

Man, what a place.  You always worry about having a good vet for your animal, but with Jackson Hwy Vet Clinic nearby, there’s never a worry.

We brought our two golden retrievers for checkups and procedures and whatnot and I really liked the people who work here.  One thing I will never forget and I feel heavy just writing this, but back a few years, our old golden had reached the end of her line and needed to say goodbye.

My family and I brought her over and the staff was just incredible.  She needed some heavy assistance to get out of the car because she was blind, deaf, and had rough arthritis among many other problems.  They brought her into a gorgeous separate room where we were told we had all the time in the world.  We could take all the time we needed. We got to spend a few more minutes with her.  Then the doc came in with a very companionate technician, I believe his name was Dr Marker and he put my best friend to sleep.  That was easily one of the hardest days of my life.  A week or so later I returned to the clinic and picked up her ashes in a beautiful box that's currently sitting on top of my desk.  The cause of her death had been lymphoma.

I remember that day very vividly, and I remember Dr. Marker’s compassion before, during, and after her passing.  What really hit me hard and just totally blew me away because I didn't think this kind of compassion was still out there, was shortly after that day, we received a card  and a framed picture with some of her hair in the mail from the clinic, handwritten, expressing everyone’s condolences.  Seriously, that was epic.  Not too long after, we got a new golden puppy and didn't think twice about asking him to be her doctor.

We no longer live in the area, but Jackson Hwy Vet Clinic was a top notch veterinary facility.  Please go there.  You won’t regret it.  Nor would your pets.

LOVE THIS PLACE! The staff is wonderful. Dr. Marker and his wife Donna are the most caring, friendly, professional service in the area. I suffered through poor vet care for a year until I found the new office at Mary's corner. I am thrilled by the care my 2 Great Danes and 2 kittens have received. I could not ask for more. It is clear they really care about animals from the moment you step in the door. They spend time getting to know you and your pets and are more than willing to get down to the dogs level to give loves and treats. I can't say enough good things about these guys. Go and try it for yourself you won't be disappointed.

I have to tell you that Dr. Marker and all of the Jackson Hwy Vet Clinic personal are the best anywhere.
We was recommended to Dr. Marker after a very bad experience with another vet in Chehalis several years ago. He is a true animal lover. What other vet do you know that gets down on the floor to the animals level to gain that animals trust. He takes care of all of my pets as if they was his own. You can't get any better.
Thank you Dr. Marker & Donna for the wonderful care that you gave to Buddy yesterday.

With the times being so tough it can be hard to want to spend your money on anything. But when you have to, Customer service and price is very important. I felt that my dogs were helped with such joy and tenderness and I was taken great care of with Dr. Marker. The prices unfortunaty were like the rest of the county but you get so much more out of the clinic then what they charge. and they try hard to help you, not charge you for each and every little thing.I will always go there as well as my family and friends. These are great people.

I just started coming here a few months back upon the recommendation of a fellow friend. I had been taking my cat to Banfield even though I live in Mossyrock and I was just fed up with their McDonald style care. Always in and out, with more than you need. While they start out affordable at least that is what you are told, at the end you have paid for more than you need and your pet is pissed off.Right off the bat myself and my dog absolutely loved this place!! The staff is super loving and I want to be there because the atmosphere is light and happy. I had lots of questions and the Doc didn't blow smoke up my butt and try and give me a whole bunch of vaccines and meds that I didn’t come in to see the doc for. AND I think it is so much more affordable than Banfield’s run of the mill crew!! My cat didn’t leave the clinic shaking in fright, and he even let everybody pet him!!! He NEVER does that!! He had his nails trimmed very gently and quickly, he got on some flea control applied as well.

We are so grateful for the care & compassion that Pal received. It was a long road to try to make him well. Everyone understood the need to help him. He was a Sheltie that would have been 13 on February 4th this year. I can't thank the clinic enough for helping me bring him home to continue to lay on my left foot. Constantly! Pal ended up with a lot of quality time with us due to the care he received. He enjoyed going logging & barking at horses & cows on the way. I made him a safety vest when he was a rookie logger, he packed his own water & bones?  We thank you for all you did for Pal. you gave us more time with him.

We drove 2 hours from Ocean Shores to find a knowledegable vet on guinea pigs. The fact that they were open on a Sunday when our pigger was sick, was a bonus. They we kind, gentle, understanding and very reasonably priced. If they weren't so far away they would be our vet for all our pets! Thanks so much Donna, Mel and Dr. Marker!
